EXPERIENCED Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
Full Time Position - for Preschool and Toddler Room
Must be flexible to open or close
Approx 8 hour shift a day
1 hour lunch

POSITION SUMMARY
The RECE's role will be to ensure all the Ministry of Education's regulations and the centres policies and procedures are followed within the classroom setting.
The RECE will be responsible for creating a weekly curriculum that will incorporate play based activities as well as teaching the children basic fundamentals.
The RECE will be expected to lead the room and work as a team with the ECA(s). It is important to collaborate with your team and design an exciting and interesting environment that encourages creativity
The RECE will need to have effective communication skills with staff, children and parents.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (or approved equivalency) from a recognized college or university.
- A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and record of immunization
- Be registered and in good standing with the College of ECEs.
- Up to date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid
- Develop appropriate relationships with families, caregivers & professional visitors who visit the school.
- Demonstrate the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
- Must be physically able to lift children for diaper change
- Working knowledge of ELECT, AQI and How Does Learning Happen are an asset.

Supervisor Job Description
The Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation of the child care centre and oversees/leads the work of all staff members. This involves planning, implementing, and supervising all activities at the centre to meet the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of children in the program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. This person possesses a high standard of professionalism, has strong knowledge in financial management, and extensive managerial skills.

- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator within a classroom.
- Possesses a Degree in Bachelor of Education or an Early Childhood Education Diploma from a recognized College or equivalency.
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and in good standing.
- Knowledge of children’s development, agency policies, and human resources procedures.
- Infant/Child Standard C.P.R. and First Aid.
- Thorough knowledge of provincial childcare regulations including all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- A criminal reference check will be required.
- Verification of medical suitability/records of immunizations may be required as
